MD and founder of Intrinsic FE, Chris combines an innate technical expertise with a broad knowledge of the property sector to deliver sound professional advice and practical engineering solutions. He brings more than 35 years’ experience in building engineering services at operational, management and strategic levels and has held senior positions in industry leading businesses. With his keen eye for detail, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate solutions that help Clients make better informed decisions, Chris is known for delivering results that yield true value.
Ben Ferguson

What’s something not many people know about you? I’m a fully trained On-Call Firefighter at my local fire station
What do you like to do when not working (or firefighting)? Spending time with my family and our three boys; skiing; sailing; golf.
Ben has an established track record for quality technical advice and solutions that deliver added value for Clients. With his extensive experience across engineering services within the built environment, Ben leads the management and delivery of Intrinsic’s Technical Management and Engineering Consultancy services. He recognises the importance of understanding Clients technical needs, and his open and collaborative approach fosters enduring relationships built on trust and respect.

Kenny enjoys 30+ years’ experience within the construction, estate, and facilities management sectors, joining Intrinsic FE in January 2023 from the technical services team at Savills London. An accomplished engineer, Kenny has successfully delivered mechanical and electrical engineering projects; facilities management commissions and consultancy for top drawer public and private sector clients, operating comfortably within occupied and listed building portfolios alike. His key driver is to achieve the most positive and sustainable outcomes possible for clients regardless of the unique challenges within any given project or commission.

Steve combines a comprehensive M&E background with more than 30 years’ expertise in the sector, boasting multi-site facilities and project management experience across a broad range of hotel, retail, and commercial properties. From surveys, audits, and reports to specification, tender and mobilisation, Steve is committed to driving exemplary Client satisfaction and service. His well-reasoned engineering decisions serve to increase the reliability and life cycle of Clients’ assets and maintain the operational efficiency and excellence of their buildings.

What’s something not many people know about you? I used to be in a band
Ted enjoys more than 15 years’ experience in the engineering services maintenance field, bringing an extensive industry knowledge through his practical, administrative and management roles. Prior to joining Intrinsic, Ted was responsible for auditing and compliance management of site maintenance operations, building on sound technical knowledge from supervising cooling tower refurbishments and tenant floor fit outs to overseeing company compliance documentation.

How do you occupy yourself outside work? Socialising with friends, gym and being run ragged by my two ‘feral’ children
With 15+ years administrative experience in the engineering sector, Elaine brings an exceptional technical understanding to her role supporting the Intrinsic team and ultimately, Clients. She is passionate about delivering the highest standards of clerical and HR support, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of business operations with customer satisfaction at its core. Elaine has the dubious honour of being one of Intrinsic’s longest-serving colleagues.

Emma’s number-crunching and communication skills are integral to advancing the strategic ambitions of the Intrinsic business. Passionate about authentic communications and cutting through the jargon, her professional experience has developed from a background in Public Relations and spans several decades across the non-profit, public, and commercial sectors. Emma is a certified Mental Health First Aider.
